These Protein Twix Bites are incredibly easy to make, require no baking, and are made with healthy ingredients. A soft, chewy, nutty base topped with peanut caramel, dipped in dark chocolate. It's a little bite of heaven with a protein boost.
Add almond flour, protein powder and milk to a bowl and mix with a fork or spatula to combine. Add a splash more milk if it's too dry or some more protein powder if it's too wet (see notes).
Press the base mixture into the bottom of your tin in a flat, even layer.
Add nut butter, liquid sweetener and pinch of salt to a mixing bowl and mix with a fork until smooth.
Spread the nut butter caramel on top of the base in a smooth, even layer.
Freeze for at least one hour until hard.
Use a sharp knife to slice into 16 small pieces.
Place chocolate in a heat-proof bowl then melt using a double boiler or in the microwave in 30 second increments to avoid burning.
Place each twix bite on a fork and use a spoon to pour the melted over them, adding a thin coating all around.
Place the chocolate-dipped protein twix bites on parchment paper and place in the fridge or freezer until set. You can store them in the fridge or freezer.

A NOTE ABOUT PROTEIN POWDERI've used many different protein powders in my day and I'm afraid to tell you that they're all different. Some protein powders absorb more liquid, some less; which makes using protein powders in recipes like these a bit tricky. BUT there's an easy solution to this problem - simply watch the amount of liquid that you add. Start with the amount of milk listed in the recipe card below and then if you notice your mixture is too dry, add a small splash more liquid (literally half a tablespoon at a time) until you reach the correct consistency. If you feel the mixture is too wet, add some extra protein powder.MEASUREMENTS:I always recommend using a kitchen weighing scale and using weighted measurements. This will result in a more accurate process and your recipe will come out perfectly.MORE INFO:Read the blog post before making these Protein Twix Bites for extra tips, ingredient substitutions and storage instructions.
